I hope everyone had a safe, wonderful Christmas and New Year’s. Being that I am from the southern US, I had my black-eyed peas (Hoppin John) and collard greens today– yummy!

I am excited to be part of my very first blog train today! I had hoped to get this up earlier – but had a lot going on. (Plus, I had to finish those pesky previews and upload everything!) The Frostee blog train is the ADSD January 2009 blog train. Make sure you stop at each blog and grab the freebies! The theme was whimsical – and my kit has a somewhat grungy feel as well.

My kit includes:

5 papers, 7 ribbons, 4 frames, custom drawn skates, snowman, tree, mittens & frame, date strip, messy glitters, string, stitches and a full alphabet.

I also have 2 quick page ploppers for you to use. Make sure you click on all 4 links so you don’t miss any of my downloads!

The purchased CU items I used in my Frostee kit came from Rachel Scraps, Christine Smith, Bianca GuimarĂ£es, Dani Alencar, Carla Holf Designs and Pri Rocha Designs. Freebie CU items came from Scrappin Cop and Gunhild Storeide. I used actions from Atomic Cupcake and glitter styles from Designs by Veronique Pettingill made for the Frostee Blog Train designers.

Make sure you ride the train and visit all the blogs below to get your full collab kit!

This is it… the LAST downloads for Icy Holiday. Today I am sharing the 4th set of papers and the 3rd plopper. As always the papers are 300 dpi, 12×12 jpegs. The corduroy and knitting templates are both from Atomic Cupcake. Make sure to come back tomorrow to start downloading a new Christmas Kit.

Today’s freebies are the frames and elements from my Icy Holiday kit. Tomorrow I will upload the last part of this kit – some additional papers and hopefully another plopper. I have Christmas Kits I want to start sharing after that – so, lots of good stuff coming :) More good news – it appears all my pictures are now working properly – but if you find an error leave me a comment so I can fix it!

All the items in these downloads were created by me using Atomic Cupcake actions except for a few of the ribbons used on the frames and the beads on the wire. The thinner multi-strand vertical wrap ribbon is from Gail P. at Moo Too Designs. The thicker knotted ribbon is from Twin Mom Scraps. (both are for CU) The beads on the curvy wire are a recolored purchased CU item from Silvia Romeo. I “tied” the bow on the hanging frame using an action I purchased from Christine Smith and used her CU ribbon templates as well. The last ribbon on the frames is one I created myself. All the diamond bling items were done by me following the Dec. 2008 issue of Scrapper’s Guide. The snowman & snow embellishment and snowflake frame were inspired by holiday ads from various holiday catalogs. I drew them into photoshop and used actions to make them appear like I wanted them to. The larger safety pin uses an Atomic Cupcake template but the smaller one was created by me. I offered the safety pin as a CU download a few days ago. Make use you snag it if you want the gold version of the safety pin.

Well, to begin with the good news. It seems when my husband called the billing department at IX for the refund on the unused months of hosting he actually talked to someone with some compassion. She fixed it where we have 24 hours to get our files. So, we have. Because of that I was able to get a backup copy of my files for Tootlebugz! This site still has issues – so, bear with me as I get it all straight! (The pictures didn’t transfer correctly.) We also host our local homeshool group website and had lost it as well. Getting that back was MAJOR!

The freebie tonight are the ribbons and bows from the Icy Holiday kit. Thanks to Scrappin Cop for the snowflake bow, Twin Mom Scraps for the knotted ribbon, Atomic Cupcake for the ric rac template and Christine Smith for the ribbon templates. I made the eyelet & ribbon embellishment myself using my own eyelets and scanning in a ribbon to recolor. (It’s the same one, just a different color, that’s used in my Tootlebugz blog topper) Make sure you scroll down and look for the ploppers for this kit. You might have missed them because Digifree picked them up only a few hours before the site went down.

First, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to type in a short thanks or comment – ya’ll are the best! Second, for tonights freebie I have 2 quick page ploppers from my new Icy Holiday kit. These are both 12×12 300 dpi, png ploppers. Add your pics below the plopper and you are done! How easy is that? I had been hoping to get my elements for the kit packaged for tonight freebie – but I still have a few I want to add. This kit has been so much fun that the ideas are still coming… lol Hopefully, I can have at least part of them ready for tomorrow’s freebie :) These ploppers are PU or S4H use only.

Also, for an extra freebie tonight I have a CU safety pin freebie! Last night I looked and looked for just the right CU safety pin and couldn’t find the type I wanted unless it was in a kit at a store with a lot of things I don’t need right now (And really don’t want to pay for right now! LOL Trying to save those pennies for Christmas…) I almost scanned one, but the thought of lassoing it was enough to make me think about my choices! I wound up mouse drawing one and didn’t use a tut – so, it was a trial and error drawing. The safety pins are 300 dpi, no shadows (except a small one on the top layer to make it look more realistic) I am still learning… so, be kind! :)

Today I worked quite a bit on some kits I needed to get finished & have a new kit uploaded and ready to go. Since I am getting to the bottom of my backlog I am going to share this new kit over the span of a few days. Tonight’s freebie is the papers from the kit. (12×12, 300 dpi jpegs) I want to thank Scrapper’s Guide, Dec. 2008 issue, for the great tut’s on bling and curves. I also used CU items from Scrappin Cop, Twin Mom Scraps and Christine Smith. Also thanks to Mega Doodle Inspired for the preview action! Tootlebugz was listed on the daily freebie list at “With a Russian Dutch Heart Design” Blog toady – Make sure you visit and check her great stuff out :) Tootlebugz also is now listed at Digifree Blog – it’s a one stop shop for daily digi scrapbook freebies! Grab a drink, get comfy and send the kids out to play before you visit. You will be busy for a while!
