Thanks for the well wishes – I am starting to feel a bit better now – thanks to plenty of rest and meds! Tonight I have for you the papers from the first of my Valentine’s Day kits. This one is a Christian kit based on 1 Corinthians 13. It’s full of unique elements and is loads of fun. Make sure you scroll all the way down to see the preview of the entire kit. As always, it’s PU only, 300 dpi, jpeg 12×12 papers.

This is it… the LAST upload for Christmas Star. Today I am sharing the elements. As always, these are 300 dpi, pngs with no shadows – except a few with custom shadows – and I have included the the files with no shadows for those elements as well. Thanks for all the great feedback on this kit. I think I will start another Christian kit soon… perhaps with a love theme as we head towards Valentine’s Day. Remember, my kits are for your personal use only. (S4H ok as well)

Today I am getting this out a bit earlier than usual. Tonight I will not be home and I don’t want to skip a day. I have a good momentum going and want to get another Christmas kit shared before Christmas! Tomorrow should be the last upload for Christmas Star. For Thursday I have a Kit called Candy Cane Wishes I will begin sharing.
The frames on these pages were both made by me. I also made the cross element, the tag and the word art. The manger scene is a CU item that I purchased from Cathy Cher. (recolored, flattened and arranged by me, of course!) The ribbon is a CU item purchased from Christine Smith, but it is wrapped by me. I also used her action to “tie” my bows. It makes it so easy! The stitches are a CU freebie from Gunhild Storide. Make sure you visit her site and grab all her wonderful freebies! She has some really nice stuff. The cross stitches and other actions are from Atomic Cupcake.

Wow! I won!! What did I win?? Over at the Studio Girls Blog they were having a daily giveaway the past 2 weeks. The 14th day, the LAST day, I won! So, I got to pick ANYTHING from Studio Janet. She makes these wonderful template sets. I have never used a template to scrap (But have collected a few freebie ones in my daily searches.) I am looking forward to playing with them and am amazed at her generosity. I got a wonderful set with 45 templates to play with! Granted – I saw several other things I “need”… :::cough::: ehhhhmmmm. I have a feeling she will wind up with more than a few dollars from me in the future! They also have a nice freebie from Studio Ziska today – make sure you visit and grab it for yourself. I just love her style of kits – they are always fun and include many personal touches.
For todays freebie I am sharing the alpha and number tiles from my Christmas Star digital kit. Thanks to Mega Doodle Inspired for a WONDERFUL action that saves so much time saving all those letter and number files….. Also included today are the 2 titles in the preview that are tied or strung and all ready for your pages. The tiles are 300dpi pngs. The tiles themselves have no shadow – but the letters on the top layer of the tile have a shadow to make the tiles more realistic. I would suggest making your title on a new, blank workspace. The tiles are larger than you probably need – but after you build the title just resize the finished product – so easy!

Tonights freebie is the word art from my Christmas Star kit. These are all my own works (Silhouettes from clip art) – but of course the phrases are timeless. The manger is from a CU collection by Cathy Cher Designs. I haven’t located a blog for her – but I bought her kit at Stone Accent Studios.

I often feel the commercialism of Christmas makes me have momentary amnesia and forget the real “Reason for the Season” It’s easy to get drawn up in all the lights, glitter and tinsel. Sometimes we just need a reminder that for those of us who are Christian – Jesus is the best gift of the season. That’s the focus of this kit. It will be great to highlight those Christmas Plays, cantatas and special church services. For today’s freebie I am sharing the 12 papers from the kit. 6 are grungy papers with 3 having music in the background and the other 3 having both music and words to a Christmas carol. I made my own paper textures using collected texture photos and downloads from CG Textures. For the music I used brushes from Easy Elements.
