Those who have followed my blog for a while know that I don’t do a ton of sales – usually only when a store opens or for a special occasion. In fact, it’s been a few months now since any of my stuff was on sale! BUT, this weekend I am having a 50% off sale on EVERYTHING!! ALL(Even the brand new stuff!) my CU and personal use kits. That puts my average CU price between $1 – $2 and my average kit price at about $2!! What awesome deals!!! I am running this sale at both Designs in Digital and Elite Designer Resources. (Don’t know which to shop at? I only sell my personal use kits at Designs in Digital, while I sell CU at both stores. However, my newest CU is exclusive to Elite for a month before it goes to DID!)
Also, don’t miss my new stuff at Elite Designer Resources! I added 5 new products last night. Here are my favorites:
I also wanted to thank everyone for voting form me in Designer Survivor! I didn’t win immunity this week, but did manage to stay in the game and am excited to be in the final 5! It was too close for comfort! 3 of us tied in votes and like in the real game we had to use previous votes to break the tie. (Because only 2 of us could move on!) So, to celebrate my final 5 victory I am sharing the CU Designer Mix1 kit for a VERY LIMITED TIME!! Digifree will pick it up and I will only have the link available 24-48 hours.
****Sorry, no longer available*****
So much for keeping up with my blog, huh? I really do need to get better! Sorry about that folks. Maybe a freebie will keep ya happy?
I just released a new kit – Beachy Calm. I am really pleased with how it turned out. I’ve had the scenery papers done for more than a few months now. (In fact, I made them hoping use them in the contests I participated in this spring but it never worked out where I could.) I’ve been wanting to make a 3d alpha and had a great idea to make molded sand letters and the kit was born! You can purchase the kit and the alpha together (For a $ savings) or separately. Purchase it today, July 8th, for 50% off! or Thursday – Saturday for 30% off at Designs in Digital!
Tonight I have a great CU freebie for you! I meant to get this out this weekend – but ran out of time. But, you were probably busy having a fun time and taking pictures anyhow! Now, you have time to sit down and scrap – so, maybe they are right on time! LOL These have been left in their original colors. You can use as is, or desaturate and recolor! They have jaggy edges just like the originals.

First of all I am so excited because I won a spot at Designs in Digital in the New Designs in Digital Design Star competition I have been participating in! They were super clever in how they announced the winners – in a banner!
I am being joined by some very talented girls and am honored to be part of this group. We all will be setting up shop and the grand opening of our stores will be July 1!
Next, don’t miss Super Saturday at Elite Designer Resources! Several of my items are on sale! Don’t miss this one day sale. The items on sale this Saturday may not be the same ones as next weekend – so, make sure you visit. Also, the June Team CU Mega is $2 – yes – $2 – tomorrow only!! This is one collab you don’t want to miss!! Shop at Elite with confidence – the quality control at Elite is top notch. I know I am tired of buying CU only to find stray pixels, blurs etc. That’s why I joined the team at Elite! Buy with confidence.
Now that the contest is over I should have time to have more of a daily blog presence once again! All least, more so than lately
Tonight I have a great CU freebie for you! It’s a shabby stars overlay. There are some many things you can do with this one! If you want the stars more pronounced make sure to layer it and use multiply as a blend mode! I left it light to give you more contol and multiple looks.
***Sorry this freebie is no longer available! Look for it soon in my new CU pack – Seein’ Stars ***
I wanted to start by posting my kit for the contest at DID. Last night Digifree didn’t pick it up as a freebie – (My fault… I didn’t add the right stuff to the end of the link!) So, adding it tonight is a “trial” run so I will know how to do it next week! I have never posted a freebie in a store – and didn’t know I had to do it a little differently! Since the number of downloads a kit gets is one thing taken into consideration in how we do in the contest, this is a skill I need to acquire! LOL
This link has expired. Look for an expanded version of this kit in stores next month!
For tonight I have an overlay made with a new brush set I will have out in stores tomorrow. It’s a crayon, pencil, marker set with a canvas texture.

It’s been a super busy week! I entered the contest at Designs in Digital and this week was the warm up challenge. It’s up and you can snag it for free! I am really happy with how it turned out. After the contest I will be making the mini kit into a full kit (Already have some ideas!!) and selling it – so, grab what you can while it’s free!
This link has expired. Look for a expanded version in stores soon!
Make sure you keep reading! There is a 2nd freebie tonight!!
More news – I am selling in an additional store now as well! Elite Designer Resources is having it’s grand opening tomorrow! You will want to check out the awesome stuff there.
Here are a few of my new items you might be interested in. You will be able to purchase them tomorrow in any of the 3 stores I sell in… Michelle’s Angels, The Creativity Box or Elite Designer Resources.
If you like the Shabby Overlay series then make sure you are subscribed to Michelle’s Angels Newsletter. This weeks edition will contain an exclusive overlay! (info. is on the bottom right of the MA front page)
And, finally to the 2nd freebie! Jami left a question in the comment section about how to use overlays. I don’t know of a tutorial – but there might be one out there. If any of my readers knows of one would you please leave the link in the comment section? I’ll post it for others who might need some help using overlays. Basically, the best advice I can give is to play with your blend modes – you can get some very different effects with the same overlay. Also, layer overlays!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! I had some time to play around in PS today – Finally! Like I said in my last post – I have been working hard on making my own CU items. I really am focusing on quality. Until recently I was just going by how it looked once it was printed. That’s about what you see at 30% in PS. Well, the standard is that at 100% you should still have nice crisp edges and no blurs. So, the newer stuff I put out should be excellent quality – that’s my goal
It’s nice to have all these great boards and groups that have helped me understand the expectations!! I want my stuff to be top notch. I had heard the info. before but it was in a setting where I was getting so much info. that not all of it “stuck.” I have learned so much in the past 6 months!
So, tonight I spent about 3 hours playing with the scanner, and marching ants. We print a lot of stuff for use with the kids since we homeschool – well, the scanner on that printer stinks! So, I moved the good scanner downstairs and now can get some great detailed scans. I really don’t enjoy the tedious job of extracting – but it’s worth it to be able to have my own stash and hopefully be able to sell them as well in the near future. The one I am sharing tonight is the only one I have completely done yet! It’s 300dpi and the larger one in the preview is the actual size on a 12×12 paper.

I have had really good intentions to upload and give out more freebies this week – but I seem to stay side-tracked. Mikah & Tyler have a history fair on Friday and while Tyler (almost 16) doens’t need my help, Mikah (9) does! While a lot of Mikah’s school work involves me, it’s not usually this much! Add in a few drs. visits, shopping, cleaning house and I have had little to no playtime!
In the next few weeks I am entering another digi designer contest, so, I have been working to make some basic CU items so I can use my own stuff. Tonight I spent a few hours making transparent tape. There are several good tuts out there – but I didn’t like the finished product of any of them, so, I played around with combining techniques. Maybe you will be able to use my results. There are 3 files – 300dpi, png. The actual size is the ones shown holding the papers. I did a close up so you can see the details of one of the files. The paper shown is from my new kit I made for the 100th post. I will get the kit out soon. I just need to zip and upload it. So much to do… so little time!
